Ok so after two sets of notes from two film execs, one from Disney the other from Overbrook. Me and my writing partner got them through the services provided by Stage32 (if you’re a filmmaker and aren’t completely brand new to the industry and don’t know what Stage32 is…get on it!)and I will say we are satisfied.

We have a much clearer picture (pun intended!) on how to present what’s really super inside baseball. If you aren’t a native New Yorker you’d have to live here for at least 15 years and it can’t all be in trendy neighborhoods neither if you have ever played a game of Skelly.

Most natives played the game as kids. We have like 1,000,000 hours of play! So we don’t just want to throw the story of the game out there like it’s generic action flick number 1 trillion nine billion….

It started as a 15 page short. But then where the story was going to go, we didn’t like the direction of the fellowship.

So we pulled it back and went with a half hour one camera jump off. But per those notes we realized since the story is named after the game once you are familiar with the game there’s going to be very little interest in the rest of the story.

So now it’s a one hour limited series. Which means I’m back to writing one hour pilots, ironically as a half hour show it took me into an arena I don’t usually work in. However now with the extra 30 minutes it gives me a much longer runway for me to exploit.

Stay tuned!
